Tube & Pipe Clamps For Unistrut Applications

Unistrut cush-a-clamp

The best strut in the world is of little value without compatible fittings, channel nuts, and clamps to finish the job.  This post takes a look at the clamps we use to secure pipe, tube, and conduit to Unistrut framing channel, as well as two unique clamps for flat surface applications.

Minimizing or eliminating vibration, shock, surge, galvanic corrosion and unwanted noise are important considerations when installing pipe or tube.  Improperly clamped pipes and tubes can create a host of problems, ranging from annoying clanks and noise to line failures.  Fortunately, we offer a complete line of Unistrut compatible cushioned clamps to make short work of even the toughest pipe installation challenges.

cush-a-nator clamp

Cush-A-Nator Clamps

The Cush-A-Nator® Clamp features a proprietary thermoplastic vulcanized material cross-linked with high-performance rubber and thermoplastic elastomers.  Ideal for extreme, high and low heat clamping applications, the Cush-A-Nator provides long life against vibration fatigue with operating temperatures from -50°F to 275°F and -45°C to 135°C.  The Cush-A-Nator is the only strut mounted cushion that is mechanically connected to the supporting steel clamp because the bolt passes through the squeeze control tab forming the single unit connection.

   Cush-A-Clamp Strut Mounted Clamps

Cush-A-Clamp Strut Mounted Clamps for 1-/5/8” Channel

Available in tube sizes from ¼” to 6-1/8” and pipe sizes from ¼” to 6”, the CUSH-A-CLAMP™ is a strut mounted clamping system that is ideal for multiple line runs where noise abatement and shock and vibration absorption are concerns.  The cushion element is manufactured from a thermoplastic elastomer that is designed to withstand exposure to most oils, chemicals, and industrial cleaning compounds.  The Cush-A-Clamp is suitable for applications with temperatures ranging from -50°F to 275°F and designed for use with Unistrut 1-5/8” channel.

  Cush-a-claw

Cush-A-Claw Clamps

If your application calls for a non-conducting, corrosion resistant, light duty strut mounted clamp to secure pipe, tube, or hose, consider Cush-A-Claw™.  An outstanding alternative to steel, stainless, or galvanized clamps, the unique design of this TPE based clamp prevents galvanic corrosion of dissimilar materials and allows for fast and easy installation.  Simply rotate the sure-grip base into the channel of your strut and snap in place.  Once the clamp is attached to your channel, press the pipe or tube between the claws, and installation is complete.  Ideal for indoor or outdoor use, Cush-A-Claw is suitable for applications from -50° to 275° F.

    Omega Series Pipe Clamps

Omega Series Pipe Clamps

Although most of the other clamps featured in this post are designed for use with Unistrut channel, Omega Series™ Clamps secure pipes to flat surfaces.  Featuring a cushion with a living hinge for fast and efficient assembly, the Omega clamp retains, guides, protects and uniformly spaces line runs.  The metal, outer portion of the clamp is available in steel (with electrodichromate finish), and stainless steel, while the cushion portion of the assembly is manufactured from a thermoplastic elastomer designed to withstand the effects of most oils, chemicals and industrial cleaning compounds.  Omega Clamps are suitable for applications with temperatures from -50°F to 275°F.

Beta Clamps

Beta Clamps

Beta Clamps are suitable for clamping pipes, hoses and electric cables used for industrial, mobile and marine hydraulics, general industrial pipe construction, and instrumentation and control technology applications.  Just like the rest of the clamps featured in this post, Beta Clamps offer a high degree of shock and vibration absorption and the clamp assembly is easily cleaned.  Standard Beta Clamps are suitable for temperature applications ranging from -30°C to +90°C.
