Be Effective with the Unistrut Channel Socket

When you’re in the field, you want hardware that is convenient and maybe even saves you a buck or two without degrading workmanship; but most importantly, you need a product that makes you effective – a product that gets the job done without unnecessary adjustments to current hardware.

The Channel Socket is easily inserted at the top of the Unistrut channel to tighten the bolt and fasten other fittings within or outside of the channel, eliminating the blood-boiling struggle one will experience should they choose to actually take to sawing unspecified hardware, like a 3/4” socket, just to make it fit.  Eliminate unnecessary field modifications to your hardware and consider the Channel Socket, which is specifically made to fit inside the Unistrut, without any hardware adjustments. Just place inside the Unistrut and turn to fasten.

The Unistrut Service Company Channel Socket, now available in two sizes works within standard Unistrut channel (1-5/8”) and ½” Drive Ratchet Handles:

  • 2-7/16” (two inches and seven sixteenths)
  • 3-1/4” (three inches and one fourth)

A highly specialized socket head that functions with standard Unistrut channel, the Channel Socket is specifically designed to work with the P1000T and the P5500T. Easily inserted at the top of the Unistrut channel to tighten the bolt and fasten other fittings within or outside of the channel, the Channel Socket eliminates the blood-boiling struggle one will experience should they choose to actually take to sawing unspecified hardware, like a 3/4” socket, just to make it fit.  What’s worse is the 3/4” socket will not fit between the internal edges, making the use of standard 1/2” hardware difficult to virtually impossible to use. Eliminate unnecessary field modifications to your hardware and consider the Channel Socket, which is specifically made to fit inside the Unistrut, without any hardware adjustments. Just place inside the Unistrut and turn to fasten. As Mark Flynn, Product Specialist at Unistrut Service Company animates, “When you’re strapped to a ladder system 10 feet up in the air and you’re trying to tighten a bolt within the Unistrut - you need access quickly and efficiently – you need the Channel Socket because of its special design…unless you want to hang from that ladder realizing the tool spec’d in for you won’t even work because they didn’t consider that bolt fastening occurs after Unistrut installation.”And with reductions in application time and labor upwards of 30%, the plated finish Channel Socket further enhances efficiency and quality workmanship as it fits 1/2” drive ratchet handles and/or impact drivers, which guarantees a prompt and accurate torque set. In addition, it enables you to fix slotted or drilled Unistrut directly to walls, ceilings, and floors – all without the use of brackets.  This bracket elimination boasts unlimited Unistrut access and increases loading capability.  Mark Flynn concludes, “Time is money and it will pay for itself in the [time you will save] not fighting with those hard to get to bolts or sawing down a socket because nothing else fits. Give me a call and let’s talk about how you can use the Channel Socket with your jobs. You’ll thank me.”
